Great Buddha of Kamakura

Today I went to the city Kamakura to the Kotokuin Temple to see the Great Buddha. I thought this was a very good idea. Everything seemed peaceful around the entire area. The statue is the second biggest Buddha in Japan it is 13.35 meters tall. The Buddha used to be inside a hall way until a tidal wave washed the building away. Since then it has been outside. Very good thing to see!

Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden

Today I went to the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. This garden is very beautiful. There are more then 20,000 trees including Cherry Blossoms, Majestic Himalayan Cedars, Tulip trees, and more. There was greenhouses in the garden as well with over 1,700 tropical and sub-tropical plants. There were a lot of plants i haven't ever seen before. I had a good time.

Mount Fuji

Today I went to take a train to Mount Fuji. I heard the best way to see it is by train so thats what I did and it was pretty tight. I found this planned trip that turned out very nice. The trip included going to Lake Ashi which was very tight. There also was an aerial cableway I took at Mt. Komagatake, where i got a lot of cool pictures. I found at that Mt. Fuji is the highest mountain here at 12,388 feet. There was art that i guess was dedicated to Mt. Fuji, there was a lot of good work. The bullet train was pretty crazy they go like 200+ miles per hour, never have been on a train that goes that fast.

Arrival

I just got to my hotel in Tokyo I am staying at the Shinjuku Washington Hotel. I walked around the city today it was very interesting. I saw this place i really want to go to called Laqua. It was like an amusement park. They have roller-coasters, restaurants, and a spa. I haven't seen roller-coasters like that before they look like a lot of fun! I also walked by the Tokyo Dome, i didn't go in but i imagine it is very cool. There is a lot of cool things you see when you just walk around explore this city. Tomorrow i think i will take a train somewhere or something.
